AWS re:Invent workshops
Bring a laptop. These are the unofficial hands-on sessions run around re:Invent by partners, user groups and vendors, usually deeper and smaller than the main agenda.
Seats are limited and hosts confirm them directly, so register early and read the prerequisites on each listing before you show up.

What these workshops are
Hands-on sessions run outside the official AWS agenda: partner labs, security deep dives, generative AI build sessions, cost optimization clinics and community-run bootcamps. Group sizes are small, so you get to ask real questions instead of watching a keynote from row forty.
What to bring
A laptop, a charger and an AWS account you are allowed to create resources in. Many hosts hand out temporary sandbox accounts, but a personal account avoids corporate permission problems. Download any prerequisites over hotel wifi before you arrive, since venue networks get crowded.
Skill levels and audience
Listings carry an audience tag so you can tell a beginner-friendly intro from an advanced session aimed at architects and platform teams. If a session assumes prior knowledge, the host says so in the description, and it is worth reading before you claim a seat someone else needs.
Booking and cancellations
Workshops have the tightest capacity of any side event because seats and power outlets are physical limits. RSVP through the host's link, then release your spot if your schedule changes so the waitlist can move.

Frequently asked questions
Are these workshops part of the official re:Invent agenda?
No. Everything on this page is an unofficial side session run by partners, vendors or community groups around the conference. Official builder sessions and workshops are booked through the AWS event catalog.
Do I need to pay for a re:Invent side workshop?
Nearly all of them are free because the host is showcasing a product or community. If a session charges, the host states the price on the registration page.
What should I bring to a hands-on session?
A laptop, charger, and an AWS account with permission to create resources. Some hosts provide sandbox credentials, and prerequisites are listed on each event page.
Can I run a workshop and list it here?
Yes. Submit the session with date, venue, skill level and signup link, and it appears on this page once reviewed.
